About “Pak Lat Chronicles”
The Pak Lat Chronicles are a collection of Mon history texts compiled from palm-leaf manuscripts. They were gathered by the Siamese Mon Monk Phra Candakanto during the years 1912 to 1913. The texts provide historical accounts from the Mon people, preserving their history in written form. The compilation is known in English as the Pak Lat Chronicles.
