About “Konbaung Set Yazawin”
Konbaung Set Maha Yazawindawgyi is the last and unofficial royal chronicle of Burma (Myanmar), covering the Konbaung Dynasty from 1752 to 1885. The author, Maung Maung Tin, was a Burmese official and son of Konbaung royalty. He combined parts of two earlier official chronicles, Hmannan Yazawin and Dutiya Yazawin, and added the final years of the dynasty, from 1854 to 1885, to create a single chronicle for the Konbaung era.
