About “Two serpents rise”

Caleb Altemoc, a casual gambler and professional risk manager, is sent by Red King Consolidated to cleanse a reservoir infected by shadow demons, serving sixteen million people in Dresediel Lex. At the site, he meets Mal, an alluring and skilled cliff runner. Caleb also learns that his father, a former priest of the old gods and leader of the True Quechal terrorists, has broken into his home and is linked to the water attacks. Caleb and Mal are drawn to each other through lust, skill, and chance as they navigate a dangerous situation. Meanwhile, the Twin Serpents beneath the earth are awakening and growing hungry.
