About “Vixen 03”

In 1954 a plane bound for the South Pacific, carrying canisters of a virulent organism, vanishes and crashes into an ice-covered lake in Colorado. In 1988, Dirk Pitt discovers its remnants, but two of the canisters are missing, having fallen into the hands of an African terrorist group planning to attack Washington, D.C. with a ghost ship that cannot be blown out of the water, while Pitt and his congresswoman become targets of a blackmail scheme.
