About “Death in Wellington Road”
In a seaside resort in Saffronshire, which is likely Cornwall, a doctor is called to a patient’s house and finds the man dead in a bedroom filled with gas. The housekeeper, Mrs. Brannel, has vanished, taking £50 and the car. At first, the case seems clear, but Jimmy Waghorn is not convinced. The mystery deepens when it is discovered that farmer Kynance’s pigs were poisoned, adding an unexpected twist to the investigation.
