About “Star Trek Enterprise - Daedalus”
On October 5, 2140, Starfleet launches the Daedalus, its first warp 5 vessel, designed by physicist Victor Brodesser. Ensign Charles Tucker III, a maintenance engineer, discovers a design flaw but is reassured by Brodesser. The ship launches as planned but explodes during its maiden voyage due to an ion-cascade reaction, killing everyone aboard. Thirteen years later, Tucker serves as chief engineer on the Enterprise. After an explosion cripples the Enterprise, he is forced to abandon the ship during an attack. As he prepares a rescue, he must face the lingering trauma of the Daedalus disaster.
