About “Call for the Dead”
George Smiley, a quiet and unglamorous intelligence officer, routinely interviews a Foreign Office clerk over an anonymous security accusation. When the man is found dead the next morning, the verdict of suicide doesn't sit right with Smiley, who begins pulling at threads that lead back to wartime espionage and an enemy he thought long buried.
