About “Make Me”
"Why is this town called Mother's Rest?" Reacher wonders, but no one will tell him. The town is small, hidden in a vast area of wheat fields, with a railroad stop and people who are watchful and sullen. Michelle Chang, a worried woman, mistakes Reacher for her missing partner in a private investigation. Reacher has no destination and plenty of time, and something about Chang makes him stay. He teams up with her and starts asking questions. He thinks the situation can't be too bad, but soon he is caught in a dangerous journey across several cities and the hidden parts of the internet. He faces thugs and assassins, and the danger brings him back to Mother's Rest. There, he must face his worst fear. Reacher's rule is clear: if someone wants him to stop, they must make him. This is a 2015 novel by Lee Child.
