About “The Ambushers”
The Ambushers is a 1967 American spy comedy film directed by Henry Levin and based on the 1963 novel of the same name by Donald Hamilton. It is the third in a series of four films featuring secret agent Matt Helm, portrayed by Dean Martin, alongside Senta Berger and Janice Rule. The film centers on Helm's mission to recover a government-built flying saucer that has been hijacked mid-flight by Jose Ortega, the exiled ruler of an outlaw nation, with the assistance of the ship's former pilot, Sheila Sommers.
