About “The Mystery at the Moss-Covered Mansion”

The Mystery at the Moss-Covered Mansion is the eighteenth book in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series, published by Grosset & Dunlap in 1941. It was written by ghostwriter Mildred Wirt Benson, based on a plot outline from Harriet Stratemeyer Adams. The book was later revised in 1971 and retitled Mystery of the Moss-Covered Mansion, as the story had changed significantly. In the original version, the investigation centers on a mansion deep in the forest, where Nancy helps her father locate an heiress, expose an impostor, and investigate a murder. The story does not take place in River Heights, and most of the action occurs at the mansion. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
