About “The Secret in the Old Lace”
The Secret in the Old Lace is the fifty-ninth book in the Nancy Drew mystery series. It was written by Nancy Axelrad under the pseudonym Carolyn Keene and first published in 1980 by Simon & Schuster's Wanderer imprint. The book was later republished under both the Wanderer and Minstrel imprints, each with a new cover. In 2005, Grosset & Dunlap reprinted it in a yellow hardback "glossy flashlight" format.
