The Sign of the Twisted Candles is the ninth book in the Nancy Drew Mystery Stories series. It is the second volume written by Walter Karig, published in 1933 under the pseudonym Carolyn Keene. Karig died in 1956. As of January 1, 2007, the book and the two other Nancy Drew titles he wrote have entered the public domain in Canada and other countries that follow a life-plus-50 copyright policy.
