About “New Writings in SF 21”
New Writings in SF 21 is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by John Carnell. It was the final volume he edited in the New Writings in SF series before his death. After his passing, subsequent volumes were edited by Kenneth Bulmer. The book was first published in hardcover by Sidgwick & Jackson in 1972 and later released as a paperback by Corgi in 1973. The contents of this volume, along with those of volumes 22 and 23, were later compiled into the omnibus anthology New Writings in SF Special 1, published by Sidgwick & Jackson in 1975.
