About “New Writings in SF 23”
New Writings in SF 23 is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by Kenneth Bulmer. It is the second volume in a series of nine that Bulmer edited, following the original series created by John Carnell. The book was first published in hardcover by Sidgwick & Jackson in November 1973. A paperback edition with a slightly different title, New Writings in SF - 23, was released by Corgi in 1975. The contents of this volume, along with those of volumes 21 and 22, were later compiled into the omnibus anthology New Writings in SF Special 1, also published by Sidgwick & Jackson in 1975.
