About “Aru Shah and the Tree of Wishes”

War between the devas and the demons is about to begin, and the Otherworld is preparing for conflict. When 14-year-old Aru and her friends learn that the Sleeper has captured a powerful clairvoyant and her sister, they start a search-and-rescue mission. The captives are revealed to be the Pandava sisters, but one of them is not truly part of the prophecy. During the Holi festival, heavenly attendants try to improve the Pandavas' image by launching a public relations campaign. Aru, who enjoys the attention, is troubled by the Sleeper's prediction that she will bring destruction to her sisters. To change her fate, she sets out to find the Kalpavriksha, a wish-granting tree, hoping to use one wish to fix everything before the Sleeper does.
