About “Crito”
The Critias is a fragmentary dialogue by Plato that breaks off mid-sentence. It was intended to be the second part of a trilogy, similar to the Sophist, Statesman, and Philosopher. While Timaeus described the origin of the world and the creation of man, the Critias was meant to explore the dawn of history. The dialogue is also linked to the Republic, another Platonic work that deals with justice and injustice. Despite its importance, the Critias was never completed.
