About “Gylfaginning”
Gylfaginning is the first major section of the 13th-century Prose Edda, following the Prologue. It is presented as a dialogue between a Swedish king named Gylfi and three men seated on thrones in Asgard, known as High, Just-As-High, and Third. Gylfi questions them about the history and future of the Æsir. The text describes the creation of the world, its eventual destruction, and various elements of Norse mythology. Although it is never stated directly, the three men are often thought to be different forms of Odin. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
