About “Mattimeo”

Slagar the fox despised Redwall Abbey and its inhabitants, particularly Matthias, the mouse warrior who had injured him. His desire for revenge required careful planning, as he understood the strength of the Redwall sword and the loyalty of the abbey's creatures. Knowing the Redwallers valued their young, Slagar plotted to steal them. His ultimate goal was to capture Matthias's son, Mattimeo, seeing him as the greatest prize in his scheme. This plot is part of a 1989 novel by Brian Jacques.
