A persistent paparazzi has pushed operatic soprano Isabella Sommita to her limits, leading her millionaire boyfriend to take her to a New Zealand island for recovery. There, she prepares to perform an aria written for her by her secret young lover, who is also on the island. Alongside him are envious celebrities. The setting seems ideal for dramatic emotions and tragedy. When Isabella is found dead with a photo on her chest, Superintendent Roderick Alleyn must uncover who killed the diva.
