About “White nights”
Bella Sinclair throws a party to launch an exhibition of her work and introduce painter Fran Hunter. A mysterious Englishman bursts into tears at the party, claims not to know who he is, and is found hanging in a boathouse the next day, convincing Detective Jimmy Perez of local murder, a belief reinforced when Bella's musician nephew Roddy is also killed, even as his relationship with Fran clouds his judgment.
