The Pagan Stone had been a part of Hawkins Hollow for centuries, long before three boys formed a bond of brotherhood and accidentally released a destructive force. Every seven years, during a week in July, the townspeople engage in strange and terrible acts, then forget them. This eerie tradition has given the town a reputation of being cursed. Quinn Black, a reporter and author, comes to Hawkins Hollow to investigate the legend for her book. Caleb Hawkins, a descendant of the town's founders, has felt the return of evil for years. He teams up with his friends Fox and Gage, as well as Quinn, who also senses the evil. As winter turns to spring, Quinn and Cal grow closer, forming a bond that will help them fight the darkness that is coming.
