Nora Roberts is an American author born on October 10, 1950, widely regarded as one of the most prolific and bestselling romance novelists of all time, with over 225 novels to her name. She was the first author inducted into the Romance Writers of America Hall of Fame. Writing as J.D. Robb, she is also the creator of the long-running futuristic police procedural In Death series featuring Lieutenant Eve Dallas.
