Stormbringer is a 1965 novel by Michael Moorcock that features the character Elric of Melniboné. It is a fix-up of four previously published stories from Science Fantasy, including "Dead God's Homecoming," "Black Sword's Brothers," "Sad Giant's Shield," and "Doomed Lord's Passing." The novel was partly abridged when compiled into a single work. Moorcock later restored and revised the text for the 1977 US edition. The book combines earlier short stories into a single narrative.
