About “Andromeda”
Andromeda: A Space-Age Tale is a science fiction novel written by the Soviet writer and paleontologist Ivan Yefremov between 1955 and 1956. It was published in 1957 and later translated into English by George Hanna. The novel included predictions of future technological developments. A heavily censored German translation was serialized in the East German magazine Jugend und Technik in 1958. The story was adapted into a film titled The Andromeda Nebula in 1967.
