About “The 1977 Annual World's Best SF”
The 1977 Annual World's Best SF is an anthology of science fiction short stories edited by Donald A. Wollheim and Arthur W. Saha. It is the sixth volume in a series of nineteen. Published first in paperback by DAW Books in May 1977, it was later released as a hardcover edition in September 1977 by the same publisher for the Science Fiction Book Club. The hardcover edition replaced the original cover art by Jack Gaughan with a new painting by Richard V. Corben. In 1983, DAW reissued the paperback under the variant title Wollheim's World's Best SF: Series Six, with cover art by Bernal.
