Orson Scott Card is an American author born on August 24, 1951, best known for his science fiction Ender Saga, which began with the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning novel Ender's Game. He became the first author to win both awards in consecutive years, also claiming them for Speaker for the Dead. Beyond the Ender universe, Card has written extensively across science fiction, fantasy, and historical fiction throughout his prolific career.
