The Silver Chair is a fantasy novel written by C. S. Lewis and published in 1953 by Geoffrey Bles. It is the fourth book in The Chronicles of Narnia series, which was published between 1950 and 1956. In some later editions, it is listed as the sixth book to match the chronological order of Narnian history. A revised American edition was published by Macmillan the same year.
