About “Blood beast”

Grubbs Grady is locked inside Dervish's study, feeling sick and dizzy. He is afraid he is turning into a werewolf. He tries to control his breathing and examine his reflection for signs of the curse. Grubbs has so far avoided the family curse, but as the full moon approaches, he experiences strange symptoms. He has faced death and demons before, but now he is caught between the world of magic and his wolfen heritage. He wonders if he can resist the beast within or if his fate is already decided. The 2007 novel by Darren Shan explores this internal struggle.
