Sherston's Progress is the third volume in Siegfried Sassoon's George Sherston trilogy, following the experiences of the protagonist Sherston as he recovers from shell shock under the care of neurologist Dr. W.H.R. Rivers. After convalescing for six months, Sherston rejoins his regiment, serves in Ireland and Palestine, survives a gunshot wound to the head on the Western Front, and returns to Rivers for further treatment as he seeks to overcome the psychological aftermath of war.
