About “The Hooded Hawk Mystery”

A 1954 novel by Franklin W. Dixon follows young detectives who receive a trained peregrine falcon as a gift. The falcon brings down a homing pigeon carrying two precious rubies, leading the detectives into a mystery. The rubies are part of a ransom paid for the release of Tava Nayyar, a student from India who was kidnapped. Despite the ransom, Tava remains in captivity. The Hardys try to find the owner of the pigeon to uncover clues about Tava's location. Their efforts are blocked by dangerous criminals involved in both kidnapping and smuggling aliens from India to the United States. The story builds to a climax as Frank and Joe outwit their enemies in a thrilling adventure.
