With only an arrow-shaped tie clasp as a clue, Frank and Joe Hardy begin investigating a series of jewelry-store robberies. Their search is interrupted when their widowed cousin, living on a cattle ranch in New Mexico, sends a desperate call for help. Frank, Joe, and their friend Chet Morton travel there immediately. The ranch is plagued by the mysterious disappearance of cowboys, and it is on the verge of financial collapse. The young detectives face significant danger as they uncover a plan orchestrated by the criminal arrow gang.
