About “Chernevog”
Chernevog is a fantasy novel by American author C. J. Cherryh. It was published in September 1990 by Ballantine Books under the Del Rey imprint. The book is the second in Cherryh's Russian Stories trilogy, set in medieval Russia near the Dnieper River. The story is based on Slavic folklore and features a girl who has drowned and become a rusalka. The novel also explores magic and the growth of a young wizard.
