About “North! or be eaten”
Janner, Tink, and Leeli Igiby believe they are normal children until they discover they are the Lost Jewels of Anniera, heirs to a legendary kingdom across the sea. Now they are targets, and many want them dead. To stay alive, they must flee to the Ice Prairies, where the lizardlike Fangs of Dang cannot reach them. Before that, they must escape the monsters of Glipwood Forest, the thieving Stranders of the East Bend, and the dangerous Fork Factory. Along the way, they face not only external threats but also internal conflicts, as jealousy and bitterness threaten to divide them. They learn that family love is the most important thing.
