Aesop was an ancient Greek fabulist and storyteller credited with the body of fables now collectively known as Aesop's Fables. Although his existence remains unclear and no writings by him survive, numerous tales credited to him were gathered over the centuries and in many languages, often featuring anthropomorphic animal characters. On our catalog he is credited with fables such as The Dog and the Wolf and The Frogs Who Desired a King. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
