David Eddings

David Eddings was an American fantasy novelist born in 1931 who became widely celebrated for his epic multi-volume series set in richly built secondary worlds. He is best known for The Belgariad, a five-book series beginning with Pawn of Prophecy, which established him as a defining voice in classic high fantasy. Eddings continued to expand his fictional universes through follow-up series and companion works until his death in 2009.
