About “An Anthropologist on Mars”
A 1995 book by neurologist Oliver Sacks, An Anthropologist on Mars: Seven Paradoxical Tales consists of seven medical case histories of individuals with neurological conditions such as autism and Tourette syndrome. It follows up themes from his 1985 book The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, with longer essays and greater depth, and includes Sacks studying patients outside the hospital, often traveling to their own environments.
