About “Desperation”
A 1996 novel by Stephen King. Miners at the China Pit near the isolated town of Desperation, Nevada, accidentally break into another dimension and release a creature called Tak, which hijacks residents' bodies. A group of unsuspecting travelers, led by a young boy who speaks to God, is drawn into a confrontation with the ancient evil.
