Dream of Fair to Middling Women is Samuel Beckett’s first novel. Written in English in 1932 when Beckett was 26 and living in Paris, the novel was completed in a short time and is clearly based on the author’s own experiences. It was rejected by publishers and remained unpublished during Beckett’s lifetime. The book was finally published in 1992, three years after Beckett's death.
