About “Eliduc”
"Eliduc" is a narrative lay by the medieval poet Marie de France, the twelfth and final poem in The Lais of Marie de France. It is written in the Anglo-Norman dialect of Old French and appears in the manuscript Harley 978 at the British Library. The poem is composed in couplets of eight syllables and contains 1184 lines, making it the longest of the lais attributed to Marie de France.
