About “Kadambari”

Kādambarī is a romantic novel written in Sanskrit. It was primarily composed by Bāṇabhaṭṭa in the first half of the 7th century CE, but he did not live to complete it. The novel was finished by his son, who followed the plan his father had established. The work is traditionally split into two parts: the first, called Purvabhaga, written by Banabhatta, and the second, Uttarabhaga, written by his son. Some traditions refer to the son's name as Pulindabhatta instead of Bhushanabhatta. (Summary adapted from Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0.)
