The Happy Prince and Other Tales is a collection of five short stories by Oscar Wilde, published in May 1888. The stories, including "The Happy Prince," "The Nightingale and the Rose," "The Selfish Giant," "The Devoted Friend," and "The Remarkable Rocket," are popular in schools and valued for their moral lessons. They have been adapted into animated films and, in 2003, the second through fourth stories were turned into a three-part series called Wilde Stories for Channel 4.
