About “The Langoliers”

A group of travelers on a red-eye flight from California to Maine wake up to find that most of the passengers, as well as the pilots and flight attendants, have disappeared during the flight. The story explores the strange and unsettling situation that the remaining passengers face upon arrival. The narrative is part of a collection titled Four Past Midnight, which includes other short stories by Stephen King. It is also included in the collection The Langoliers / Secret Window, Secret Garden.
