About “The Minority Report”
"The Minority Report" is a 1956 science fiction novelette by Philip K. Dick, first published in Fantastic Universe. It is set in a future society where three mutants, known as "precogs," can foresee all crimes before they happen. These individuals are connected to a machine that feeds their visions to a police division called Precrime, which arrests people before they commit crimes. The story follows John Anderton, the head of Precrime, who is predicted to murder a man he has never met. This prediction leads him to believe there is a conspiracy against him.
