About “The Mist”

David Drayton, his son Billy, and their neighbor Brent Norton go to a local grocery store to restock supplies after a storm. They and other townspeople become trapped by a strange mist that brings dangerous creatures. A religious woman named Mrs. Carmody uses the situation to spread fear, claiming it is divine punishment and that a sacrifice is needed. This creates division among the trapped people. When it becomes clear that staying in the store is dangerous, a group including the Draytons, store employee Ollie Weeks, Amanda Dumfries, Irene Reppler, and Dan Miller try to escape. They discover that the world outside may be even more dangerous than the store.
