About “The Terminal Man”

The 1972 novel by Michael Crichton is a classic thriller and "New York Times" bestseller that has been reissued with a new look. The story follows Harry Benson, a man prone to violent seizures. He undergoes an experimental procedure that implants electrodes in his brain, which send soothing pulses to a region known as the brain's pleasure canyon. Harry discovers he can control the pulses and increase their frequency. After escaping, he becomes a homicidal maniac on a murderous rampage through the city. The reissue brings the novel back to readers.
