About “The world Jones made”

The World Jones Made is a 1956 science fiction novel by Philip K. Dick. Set in 2002 AD, it depicts a post-apocalyptic Earth following a nuclear war that destroyed many American cities and caused the collapse of the People's Republic of China and the Soviet Union. A Federal World Government, called Fedgov, was established. The story centers on a political theory called Relativism, which allows people to believe whatever they want as long as they do not force others to follow their beliefs. This system permits drug use and adult entertainment, including live sex shows featuring human mutants. Some mutants were genetically engineered and later settled on Venus. The novel explores the character of Floyd Jones, who claims to have precognition, and the implications of his predictions.
