About “Trinummus”
Trinummus is a comedic Latin play written by the early Roman playwright Titus Maccius Plautus. The title Trinummus refers to a scene in which an imposter is given three coins to dress as a messenger from Syria. The play's prologue states that it is an adaptation of a work titled Thesaurus by the Greek playwright Philemon.
