"Waldo" (1942) is a short story by American writer Robert A. Heinlein, first published in Astounding Magazine in August 1942 under the pseudonym Anson MacDonald. The story is included in the 1950 collection Waldo & Magic, Inc.. This collection contains two stories, both involving magic but otherwise unrelated. The story "Waldo" is the first of these two.
