About “Casca: The Barbarian”
Casca: The Barbarian is a historical fantasy novel by Barry Sadler, first published in 1979 as part of the Casca series. The story centers on Casca Rufio Longinus, a Roman legionary who is cursed with immortality after driving the Holy Lance into the side of Jesus Christ on Golgotha. As punishment, he is destined to wander the Earth forever, always serving as a soldier, until the Second Coming.
