About “Faithful Place”

In 1985, Frank Mackey was a nineteen-year-old who planned to leave his family's small flat on Faithful Place with his girlfriend, Rosie Daly. On the night they were supposed to run away, Rosie didn't come. Frank believed she had left him, likely because of his troubled family life. He never returned home, and neither did Rosie. Twenty-two years later, Rosie's suitcase is found behind a fireplace in a derelict house on Faithful Place. Frank, now a detective in the Dublin Undercover squad, is forced to return to his old neighborhood. The police want him out of the way, fearing his loyalty to his family and community could make him unreliable. The people of Faithful Place also want him gone, as they have never trusted cops. Frank is determined to find out what happened to Rosie and is willing to do whatever it takes to uncover the truth.
